Message The current Z32 supply is too great, many of the cars have been in bad accidents, or just had poor work done on them. This has caused a huge price difference between what the crap cars sell for, and what a nice car should bring. Because so many cheap Z's are on the market, it has caused people that have nice cars that need to sell them, to drop the prices in order to even get someone to even look at the cars in most cases.
I do know a few Z cars that have brought higher prices to the owners that have held for the prices they wanted; it takes the right buyer that realizes the value of buying a car that is done, vs. buying one and putting a greater amount in the car to build it.
I believe we are in the bottom of the Z32 market at the present, because the cheap cars are soooo cheap, many are currently being parted out because the parts can bring more money than the cars. Many others are getting wrecked and end up totaled because the cost of repair is greater than the replacement value.
Because the supply is currently being depleted at a high rate, the nice cars that will be left will become more valuable in the future.
The price of a individual car comes down to 2 things, what someone is willing to sell the car for, and what someone is willing to pay. I always find it interesting how much higher than the market some are willing to pay; I also find it even more interesting how cheap some are willing to let some cars go.
The average price for a car like yours is about 15K, many that sell for that are not as nice as yours. I also know about some cars as nice as yours still bringing 25K, but that is about the top the last few years and those sales are few and far between.
The Love for the Z is not going away, many people are still regularly putting 20 to 50K and more into these awesome cars, as less become available and nice ones are held tighter, the price will increase.
I recommend holding onto your car until the supply thins out, or someone pays your price, you have too much time and money in your car to give it away.
